Dual education system in Pakistan

The education system in Pakistan
As everyone knows Pakistan is a developing country and so much backward in education. The main problem is that we have divided it into rich's and poor's education. Rich people have all the facilities of life while the poor are deprived of all. Here in Pakistan, the educational system has divided whole the society.
Syllabus,
The main problem in education is the difference between syllabus in lower classes.
From playgroup to 8th class every school has its syllabus. some high profile schools are using oxford and such other publisher's syllabus which is English medium while some others are using PTBB(provincial textbook boards)syllabus. PTBB is an Urdu medium syllabus. In peoples opinion English medium is better syllabus than Urdu medium. English medium is the medium of the elite class. Since the very first day, our elite class don't want to send their children to Urdu medium schools. Urdu medium schools are for the poor while English medium schools are only for our elite class, govt servants and business class.

Govt schools & teachers
Govt schools have a lot of students. In these schools, only the poor students are getting an education. Some schools have grand buildings, on the other hand, some are without buildings. some have surplus staff and some have only one teacher for 100 plus students. Our govt is facing a shortage of staff in the school. This shortage is, especially in rural areas. Rural areas are far off places where nobody is ready to teach in these schools. So how can we improve our standards of education as our 70% population is in rural areas? Its mean we are not paying heed to the larger part of our population. In this way, the standard of education would remain as it is. Govt school teachers have a double standard in teaching. In govt schools, they have not any interest while in private academies they are known as best teachers. In govt schools, they have no interest in student's future while in private schools/academies they treat the students differently. Always taking care of the future of private school children.
In govt schools, there are excellent teachers as well. These teachers have always saved the honour of schools and their colleagues also. Everyone wants to salute these teachers.

Private schools & their staff
All private schools are working differently. They are playing a vital role in education. They are building the future of our youth. But there are some problems in the private schools.
Private school charge a lot of fee from the students. Parents want to send their child in private schools but affordability is the problem for them. Private schools are of different category.
A category school charge 25 to 35 thousand per month.
B category school charge 15 to 25 thousand per month.
C category school charge 5 to 10 thousand per month.
D category school charge  2.5 to 4 thousand per month.
All these category schools are not for labour and poor people. Poor people can not afford these schools.

Private school teachers
Private school teachers are low paid people. Private school teachers are badly exploited by school owners. The main reason of this exploitation is unemployment in the country. The salary of a private school teachers starts from 5000 to 25000 per month.

Teacher’s selection method
In Pakistan the teacher's selection method is simple. The person who has to make doctors, engineers, pilots and army officers, his method of selection should be special. A teacher should be experienced in his subject and should be able to convey his message to his students. He should be held responsible for his result. In our country, our previous govt did the selection of teachers totally in the wrong way. Previous govt only selected science subject teachers and left the art teachers helpless. Students left the arts subjects and rushed to the science subjects. Today we are facing a shortage of general subject teachers in every govt and private school.DVM doctors, engineers and other professional were selected as a teacher. It was a practical joke with our youngsters. Our policymakers should understand the problems we are facing.

What should we do
First of all, we should announce one syllabus for the whole the country. There should be no difference in the syllabus at all. Everyon should be given the chance of getting an education in the country. Education should be free for all. Private schools should be funded like PEF schools. Private school teachers should be paid according to the govt pay scale. Books and uniform should be provided to the students free of cost by the govt. Everyone should be forced by the govt to get his children admitted in school. There should be severe punishments for those who don't send their children to school. In this way, we would be able to get a better rate of education.
